Who wouldn’t love a damn good sandwich? It’s filling, highly customizable (sweet, savory, you name it!), and easy to make. It's fair to say that it’s one of the wonders of food creation. If you’re looking to expand your sandwich horizons, get to know this new Japanese sando spot at Greenpoint Ave. in Brooklyn, Taku Sando.
Taku Sando brings you the best of Japan’s unique sandwich culture, aka “sando,” with a modern twist. Starting with their original shokupan milk bread baked in-house every day, their menu takes iconic sandos like pork katsu sando and tamago sando to new heights, with careful craftsmanship and fresh quality ingredients.
In our chat with Chef Hisashi Murakami, co-founder of Taku Sando, he shares about the kind of experience that Taku Sando is aiming for, one sandwich at a time, and how noissue’s sustainable food packaging makes for the perfect statement in every serving. Read below for more!
Tell us a bit about your brand!
We are Taku Sando, and we are creating a new sandwich, or "sando,” that fuses traditional Japanese craft sandwiches with American culture, which we share with our customers to give them a food experience that makes them say, “WOW!”.
Tell us about the design for your packaging and how you’re using them?
I think we have created a design that can make a strong statement not only in our shop but also when it's brought to the park to be enjoyed by yourself, with friends, or even at home. It is important that it can be used anywhere.
What made noissue a good fit for your packaging?
It's because of the low quantities available for their products, their easy-to-customize website, and their customer service’s fast response.
Production usually takes quite a while after ordering, so it's nice to know that the whole process is smooth.
